Digimiles India Success Story

Built on Trust: How Digimiles Changed India’s SMS Industry

When we started Digimiles in 2016 in Bengaluru, we saw a critical problem in India’s SMS industry. Many providers were offering suspiciously low prices, which often meant cutting corners and using illegal delivery methods. As industry insiders, we knew this wasn’t sustainable or ethical.

“We took a bold stance by pricing our services at honest market rates,” I explain. “Yes, we appeared more expensive initially, but we were transparent about why – legitimate SMS delivery through proper channels costs more. It was a challenging period, watching potential clients choose cheaper alternatives, but we stood firm on our principles.”

Our persistence paid off. Today, Digimiles serves over 2000 active clients across India, maintaining a remarkable 95% satisfaction rate. We’ve built robust partnerships with Tier 1 Telco aggregators, ensuring 99.9% uptime in our SMS services.

The implementation of DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) registration in 2018 by TRAI was a turning point. While it temporarily impacted our business, it validated our ethical approach to curbing spam. We embraced this change, becoming the only company to offer free guidance on DLT registration and compliance to our customers.

Our client roster now includes some of India’s most prestigious organizations – from government bodies like AP Government and DRDO to corporate giants like TATA Motors and State Bank of India. Recognizing the evolving communication landscape, we’ve recently expanded into WhatsApp messaging services, offering both API and bulk messaging solutions.

“Looking back at our journey, choosing the harder but right path has been our greatest decision,” I reflect. “We didn’t just build a business; we helped establish trust in India’s business messaging ecosystem. When we see our clients succeeding with compliant, reliable messaging services, we know we’ve made the right impact, says Chandra Prakash, Cofounder of Digimiles India Pvt. Ltd.”
